The Benefits Support Specialist provides clerical, technical and general account support for our benefits clients the iSolved platform.  The position manages customer benefits plans and is involved in loading client benefits information onto our platform, ensuring accurate and timely completion for setup and kickoff of live data as well as client training on maintaining the account.

The Benefits Support Specialist is also an active backup for the Benefits Implementation Specialist.

Primary Job Duty Requirements Include (and not limited to)

  • Review benefits setup documentation paperwork submitted by sales representative or client and follow up on missing information
  • Excel file creation, manipulation and troubleshooting for import/export functions
  • Client training on iSolved benefits module and ACA-related services and reports
  • Process billing for services related to benefits implementation, monthly administration and ACA
  • Provide assistance on system benefits and ACA questions and issues internally and externally
  • Participate in cross-department project planning for client implementation timelines
  • Support on and backup for setup and input of benefits plan information, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k), as well as Open Enrollment setup
  • Support on and backup for setup, testing and monitoring Carrier EDI Feeds
  • Participate in ACA form processing, filings and corrections
  • Manage, maintain and follow up with General Agents, Brokers, and Carriers on issues and pending items
  • Ensure all policies, endorsements and other paperwork are submitted accurately and on time
  • Process certificates of insurance for Worker's Compensation clients upon request
  • Working knowledge of how benefits plans interact with payroll, HR and ACA, including pre-tax and post-tax deductions
  • Working knowledge of benefit design and implementation including plan requirements under ACA

Education and Experience:

  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures 
  • HR and/or Benefits experience (minimum 1 - 2 years preferred)
  • Customer Service experience (minimum 1 - 2 years preferred)
  • Experience in organizing and implementing data (minimum 1 - 2 years preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
