The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for maintaining the internal Human Resources department, including recruiting, new hires and terminations, time and attendance, payroll, employee relations, and event coordinating. This position is continually learning about HR practices and procedures, improving the department processes and ensuring compliance for our company.
Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
- Recruiting and screening candidates, including job postings, assessments and phone interviews
- New hire process, including documentation and day-of onboarding
- Configure and manage HCM system according to company needs, maximizing electronic and automated processes
- Maintain personnel data and update internal documents as necessary
- Oversee time and attendance review in accordance with attendance policy
- Manage time off requests and update staffing calendar
- Verify time and attendance records are accurate and work with employees on issues
- Payroll preparation, including time cards, commission, residual, bonus and reimbursements
- Final payroll steps, including processing 401(k) uploads, tax payments, and transfer requests
- Process employee benefit enrollments and cancellations and arrange meetings with insurance reps
- Respond to personnel information requests, including verification of employment, Disability forms and Unemployment notices
- Prepare documents for terminations and complete required processing of final information and notices
- File employee and vendor documents
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual happenings, and update staff on upcoming events
- Maintain the bulletin board with required documents as well as important information, employee discounts, event photos and other announcements
- Plan and execute employee incentives and recognition programs, including special orders
- Writing and updating policies and procedures and the Employee Handbook
- Organize internal training and compliance with ETP (Employment Training Panel) contract
Education and Experience
- College graduate a plus
- Knowledge of and experience in administrative and clerical procedures
- Knowledge of HR practices
- Minimum 1-2 years HR-related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
